Netra Vidyalaya Students, Teachers and Volunteers celebrated Braille Day by participating in 5K Walk-A-Thon followed by Cultural Program. HH Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji started the walk at 10:30 AM from Andal Nilayam in Moosarambagh to Ashtalakshmi Temple in Dilsukhnagar. All the students of Netra Intermediate and Netra Degree Colleges along with hundreds of supporters and volunteered raised great awareness about the contribution of Braille to empower the lives of visually challenged. The walkathon was followed by cultural program organized by the students of Colleges for Visually Challenged. The program started with beautiful songs and wonderful dances along with mimicry. The students enthralled the audience in a mesmerizing manner. HH Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji motivated the Police officers, Vikasa Tarangini Board, Netra Vidyalya Committee and Ashtalakshmi Temple administration team to do their part in serving the underprivileged. Many donors came forward to support the colleges. NMDC donated 5 lakh rupees. Vikasa Tarangini and VT Seva dignitaries motivated the students and supporters to continue to excel in the academics and value based education.
