Vijaya Nama Yuga:di was grandly celebrated at Sri Ramanagar, JIVA Campus in the divine presence of HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji and HH Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji and large number of devotees who came from all over the world. Traditional “Ugadi Pacchadi” – The famous pickle made up of all six ingredients corresponding to the six qualities was prepared, offered to Lord Sri Rama and then distributed to everyone by HH Sri Swamiji. Later, Sundarakanda Parayana, Adithya Hrudayam Parayana were done in the presence of Divya Saketha Rama followed by Rama Bhajans. Vijaya Year Panchangam was then read out by HH Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji to all devotees. The summer special “Pa:naka” theertham (made up of jaggery and water) was distributed to all devotees much to their delight. Then, delicious prasadam was offered. Great scholars like Sri Ranga Ramanujacharya Swami & Thirukoshtiyur Madhavan Swami also graced the occassion.
Speaking on the occassion, HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji said, The Lord Himself comes every year in the form of Time (Ka:lam) as New Year to bless us and remove our difficulties. The six ingredients of Ugadi pickle makes us remember that life is a mixture of all six types of experiences which we have to remember as grace of God and do everything as Service to Him. Sri Swamiji encouraged everyone to write “Rama Koti” which will remove our obstacles and give us good results to make us serve The Lord better.
HH Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji said, panchangam is only to guide us in proper direction by following the order of The Lord only to make us better persons to serve The Lord better. For people who surrendered to The Lord, and who start their work or travel with the name of The Lord, there is no fear as all grahas obey the instructions of The Lord.
Later in the evening, a massive uniting program called “Sri Rama Bhaktha Tarangini” was launched at NTR Grounds, Hyderabad by HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji in association with HH Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji and HH Sri Paripoornananda Swamiji along with scores of devotees and important leaders. From this year Ugadi to next year Sri Rama Navami, this program will propagate the divine name of Lord Sri Rama and Its significance to various villages in the nook and corners of the country. It will culminate next year at Ayodhya, the birth place of Lord Sri Rama.
