ABOUT MANDASA TEMPLE

A Sacred Legacy of Devotion

Sri Vasudeva Perumal Temple is located in Mandasa village, about 15 km from Palasa in Srikakulam district. Built during the 14th century, the temple stands as a remarkable symbol of Sri Vaishnava heritage and Odisha style architecture.

Historical inscriptions reveal that the temple was reconsecrated in 1744 through sacred rituals like Ratnanyasa, establishing formal Sri Vaishnava traditions and preserving centuries of spiritual culture.

Mandasa later became a center of spiritual learning under renowned scholars like Sri T.K. Ramanujacharya Swamy, attracting devotees and disciples from various regions.
