Chaturmasyam! From 9th July to 6th Sept, 2017

We are enthused to announce the program details of this years’ Chaturmasyam! We invite everyone to take part in this pious event, become learned and stay blessed. Don’t miss reading the details below and mark your calendars!
Event – Chaturmasya Vrathamu as observed by HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji
Duration – Sunday, 9th July 2017 – Wednesday, 6th Sept 2017
Discourse Topic – Bhagavad Vishayam, the King of all Knowledge!
Discourse Timings – Everyday, 8:00 am to 9:30 am
Location – Divya Saketham, JIVA Campus, Sri Ram Nagar
‘Sri Prasna samhitha’ of ‘Pancharatra agama’ mentions that Chaturmasyam is a FOUR month period when God is in the state of ‘yoga nidra’ for the benefit of protecting the jagath, the entire existence. HE resides in the hearts of yogis during this time. All the yogis who are constantly travelling around the world to spread the name of God choose to stay at one place during this period of time. They observe this penance for either 4 months of 4 fifteen-day periods, i.e.: 2 months depending on the feasibility. They meditate upon God and his work with utmost dedication.
In such a pious time, it is advised that we all seek refuge of such yogis. Our beloved, the most revered, the king amongst all saints, sages and yogis, the walking divinity, the embodiment of love and peace, the symbol of patience and the ever-cheerful, Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swami will also be observing this penance at the JIVA campus, in Sri Ram Nagar. HH will take up this penance on the 9th of July.
Let us all take this wonderful opportunity and fill our eyes and hearts with the glorious grace of His Holiness.
Let us all listen to those sweet and wise words of Sri Swamiji on the Bhagavad Vishayam, the king of all knowledge.
Let us all get God’s grace as we spend this auspicious time in the presence of our Acharya, Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji.
It is said that the deity can also observe this penance, in which case only nityo:thsvam and Krushna:stami are celebrated while all other services and celebrations are at a halt.
