Under the aegis of HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, a workshop was organised at JIVA Campus, “LEADER FOREVER” on Bhagavad Ramanuja on 17.8.2017. About 1200 under graduate students spanning from 25 different colleges of Hyderabad, Medchal, Rangareddy districts participated in the workshop.
Smt. Krishna Kumari played a pivotal role in the workshop. HH Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji, Smn. Nepal Krishnamacharya Swami and JET Volunteer Smn. Ka:syap further explained about Sri Ramanuja’s leadership journey .
Speaking at the meet, HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamy said, that Sri Ramanujacharyar, in his 120 years of life has toiled to bring down the differences between castes and religions that chequered the country. One of his major achievements was to get the Right for entry in to the Hindu temples to the many devotees belonging to Dalit communities.
He pointed out that you can worship and propagate your religion while still respecting other religions and belief systems.
He said, the political leaders who look after the downtrodden needs will remain true leaders and will live in the people’s hearts and lives forever.
Further, as a take-back to the students who attended, he said, one should not pursue education as a means to procure job alone, but to gain enough knowledge to give back to the society and community they live in. He answered to every question the students posed across many topics related to the Vedas, the Upanishads and the Hindu Religious rites.
