HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji celebrating the 1000th birth anniversary of the great icon Sri Ramanujacharya designed a unique and wonderful program – Samatha Snanam in Krushna river on the occasion of Krushna pushkarams today, . Samatha Snanam aimed at bringing everyone on the same platform and give the underprivileged the ASSURANCE that the society is with them AND THAT THEY ARE NOT LEFT BEHIND. People from backward classes were invited to be part of this program.

The program began with HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji and HH Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji arriving at the Venkateswara ghat in Sitanagaram from NRI college along with Sriman Apparaoji. Sri Devanattha Jeeyar Swamiji, VT Organizing Secretary Sriman Bhavani Prasadji, VT President Sriman Rameshji and many other devotees joined HH Swamiji in Sitanagaram.
By the time HH reached, many devotees gathered in the surrounding ghats.Endowments Minister Sriman Manikyala Rao, Sriman I. Ve. Sri Rangaramanuja Charyulu, poet Sriman Jonnavittula, VHP International General Secretary Sriman Champath Rai, VHP International Joint Secretary Sriman Raghavulu, Kalamananda Bharathi Swamy and many swamys attended the program. HH welcomed everyone and gave mangalasasanams.
The program started with puja to Kapila cows followed by puja to Ashwatthama and Thulasi representing Lord Narayana and Lakshmidevi. HH sent Swamijis to the surrounding ghats to provide guidance to people in those ghats. HH spoke about Ramanujacharya – the great Samatha murthy who should be taken as an INSPIRATION by one and all. VHP International General Secretary Mr. Chatpat Rai too spoke on this occasion. HH released a ‘sathakam’ on Krushna river written by Sriman Jonna Vittula Ramalingeswar Rao.
Then, HH performed puja to the Krushna River. Abhishekam was performed to Ramanujacharya Swamy. Later everyone took 3 dips in the river as instructed by Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. HH made everyone offer their gratitude to the Sun, the planet Brihaspathi, river Krushna, the 33 crore devathas, rushis, sages and forefathers. It was a sight worth watching to see 1000s of people offering water with their hands to the Sun God and devathas.
Thus concluded the SAMATHA SNANAM program where all people belonging to different sects gathered and took bath together in the laps of Mother Krishna river, thereby giving a message that we all are the children of Mother Earth who doesn’t show any difference in giving its energy and resources to all. The great Saint Ramanujacharya, showed the same love and respect towards everyone and propagated this message of EQUALITY. Lets follow His footsteps and make UTOPIA a reality.
