Ramanuja Sahasrabdi celebrations concluded on a grand note in Divya Saketham. Thousands of devotees thronged the temple in the morning to be part of the celebrations. HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji sang melodious Ramanuja manthra and all the devotees joined Him in the bhajan. The hearts of all were filled with love, devotion, joy towards our great acharya Sri Ramanujacharya. HH told a small snippet about how a lady belonging to cowherd caste, a backward class, got moksha – eternal joy with His permission. HH concluded saying that the Supreme Lord in Srirangam gave the responsibility of both worlds – materialistic world and eternal world to Bhagavad Ramanujacharya and we have to surrender to Him to get paramapadam. Now that we have surrendered, we need not even think about our evolvement as it is our Acharya’s responsibility to take care of us jivas. Meanwhile, it is our duty to perform our responsibilities properly towards ourselves, our family, society and nature. HH extended mangalasasanams to all for celebrating Our Acharya’s Birthday before leaving for New Delhi to attend the Sri Ramanujacharya Commemorative Stamp Release by Prime Minister Smn. Narendra Modiji. Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji and Sri Devanattha Jeeyar Swamiji chanted Sri Ashtotthara Namavali and Thirunakshathra thaniyan offering many harathis to Bhagavad Ramanujacharya. It was a fine sight to watch the students moving the bows in one rhythm. It was a feast to the ears to listen the melodious Sri Ramanujacharya bhajans and kirthans played by students aged from 8 years and above synchronizing with the artists on Veena, mridangam, pad etc.
Bhagavad Ramanujacharya came in a procession to the Saketha mandapam and blessed the artists. Sri Taraka Ramarao sang 4 songs and enthralled the audience. Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji and Sri Devanattha Jeeyar Swamiji appreciated their performances and gave mangalasasanams to the participants.
