Lord Hanuman was born in Vaisakha month, under Purvabhadra star on the tenth day of Krushna paksha. In Sundarakanda, Lord Hanuman Himself told Sitha devi that he was born to Vayu and Anjana devi. Hanuman loves to be known as Rama dasa. Hanuman is a great inspiration who teaches us how to do service and so we are celebrating Hanuman Jayanthi in remembrance of Lord Hanuman, who is the best example for his selfless and worthful services to Lord Rama
Today is Hanuman Jayanthi. Abhishekam to Lord Hanuman was performed amid Vedic chants and was beautifully decorated with butter and fruit garlands. HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji chanted Lord Hanuman’s Ashtotthara Namavali and all devotees repeated after HH. The uniqueness is that each nama of Hanuman was picked from Srimad Ramayana and clubbed together to form a namavalli. After the puja with beetle leaves, HH Swamiji released a new Sundarakanda book sponsored by Mrs. Srilatha ji on the occasion of her birthday. HH distributed the books to VT , JET members and donors.
The program concluded with thirttha and prasadam distribution.
